The 3 year rule: Year 1 the plant sleeps. Year 2 the plant creeps. Year 3 the plant leaps.

• Year1 – Sleeps: The plant focuses on root development underground, establishing itself before showing major above-ground growth.

• Year2 – Creeps: Top growth increases gradually as roots expand, but the plant may still look modest compared to its full potential.

• Year3 – Leaps: With a strong root system in place, the plant takes off—filling in, blooming heavily, and reaching mature size.
